Electra Day otherwise known as Julie Hampton is a folk artist from Fairfield,Iowa but born in NYC. Now why she isn’t necessarily my cup of tea, I couldn’t ignore that she has been compared to the one and only Bob Dylan.
Julie began creating music back in 2004 but before that she wrote poetry, stories. She chose the name Electra Day as an alias since college. She learned it was the name her parents wanted to give her but chose Julie instead, it also belonged to her great-grandmother.
