LewNati is a 23 year old artist from Trenton, NJ. This man definitely takes artist to a whole new level. I don’t believe there isn’t anything he hasn’t done. Outside of being a rapper; Nati is known for being a singer, songwriter, poet, actor and director.
Hot 107.9, formally known as 100.3 “The Beat” quickly picked up on him during his teen years and from there we have a pretty impressive resume.
But let’s get into this music!
So I need to knock this out of the way. I don’t know why this man gives me hints of a crude Chance the Rapper. Crude maybe the wrong word to describe it, as we all know Chance has no shame in being raw. Oh maybe throw a little Wiz in there, as well.
Any who, continuing. I chose to listen to his third project Poison in the Toothpaste over the course of a very interesting weekend and I’m pretty sure from the first to the tenth track my head kept bumping. One thing I learned about this man, he’s a pretty interesting and trippy (his adjective, not mine) character.
Let’s hone in on my favorite track. So, it’s between “2YoDome” and “Kian”
“Kian” was a brash introduction. Nothing against it, he definitely caught my attention. He was lewd, trap, turnt, fetching and rhythmic. That’s my kind of music.
“2YoDome” is just catchy af and for some reason I get a bit on Eminem when he was still Slim Shady mixed with a You Got Served feel. Or maybe it’s just that whole time period, because I have a long list of artist this track makes me want to pull out right now.
The only thing I wish he provided was the lyrics so I can have some captions for Instagram. But we can dream, right?
